Parapluie Brand Kit

The single reference for how Parapluie Studio looks, sounds, and signs its name. Everything here builds from one quiet ink, one warm gold, and one idea: a photograph is shelter for a memory. Use it to keep every touchpoint feeling like the same studio.

01 · The Brand

Essence & values

Parapluie is French for umbrella. The name is the whole promise: a place that keeps something precious safe from the passing of time.

Fine art photography that turns fleeting moments into lasting memory.

Founded in Lebanon in 2019, Parapluie Studio frames love the way it deserves to be kept: with patience, warm light, and a craftsman's care. We do not chase the moment. We hold it still, so it can be returned to for a lifetime.

Positioning Statement

For families and individuals who treat a portrait as an heirloom, Parapluie Studio is the fine art photographer that frames love with editorial craft and quiet luxury, so a single day can be kept for generations.

Core Values
01
Shelter
We protect what matters. A session is a safe, unhurried space where people can simply be themselves.
02
Craft
Every frame is composed, lit, and finished by hand. Nothing leaves the studio that we would not hang on our own wall.
03
Warmth
Luxury here is gentle, never cold. Gold light, soft tone, and real feeling over polish for its own sake.
04
Permanence
We build for the long view. Images meant to outlast trends, screens, and even us.
03 · The Brand

Construction & space

Give the mark room to breathe. The clearspace and minimum sizes below keep it legible and unhurried across every surface.

Clearspace
x

Keep clear margin on every side equal to the height of the icon canopy, marked here as x. No other logo, text, or edge should enter that zone.

Minimum Sizes
Wordmark · 150px / 42mm min
Icon · 24px min

Below these sizes the descriptor line and the canopy scallops start to close up. When space is tighter than 24px, use the solid favicon disc instead.

04 · The Brand

Logo misuse

The mark carries the studio's reputation. These six moves break it. Please avoid all of them.

Do not stretch or squash
Do not recolor off palette
Do not rotate or tilt
Do not add shadows or effects
Do not place on low contrast
Do not crop or clip the mark
05 · Visual Language

Two anchors and a small set of supports. Noir grounds the brand, gold carries the warmth, cream and paper give the page room to breathe.

Gold is a seasoning, not a base. Let paper and noir do the work, and reserve gold for the mark, single accents, and moments that deserve to shine.

06 · Visual Language

Type system

The wordmark carries its own lettering. For everything around it, three families each do one job: Barlow Condensed sets the voice, Lora carries the reading, Manrope handles the interface.

The Families
Aa
Barlow Condensed
Display and headlines. Light to Medium weight, uppercase, tightly set. This is the studio speaking.
Aa
Lora
Body and long form. A serif with warmth, used for paragraphs, captions, and quotes. Italic for feeling.
Aa
Manrope
Interface, labels, and eyebrows. Wide letterspacing in caps for small structural text.

Pairing Rules

Do

Type that feels like Parapluie
  • Set headlines in uppercase Barlow Condensed, Light or Medium.
  • Use Lora italic for pull quotes and tender lines.
  • Reserve gold for a single accented word, never a whole line.
  • Keep body copy generous, with line height near 1.65.

Avoid

Type that breaks the brand
  • Recreating the wordmark lettering in a substitute font.
  • Bold, heavy weights of Barlow for large headlines.
  • All three families competing in one block.
  • Tight, cramped line spacing on paragraphs.
07 · Visual Language

Iconography

Beyond the mark itself, supporting icons are drawn as fine open lines, never filled shapes. They stay quiet so the umbrella mark always reads as the one solid form.

Rules

The umbrella mark is the only filled form in the system. Supporting icons stay as open lines at roughly 1.6 stroke weight, with rounded corners and ends. Icons live in gold on light surfaces and gold on noir. They never appear in the semantic colors outside of alerts.

08 · Visual Language

Graphic elements

A short vocabulary of marks that dress a page without shouting: the corner frame, the gold rule, and the ornament divider.

Gold Rule

A short gold line under a heading.

Sixty pixels, never full width.

09 · Expression

Voice & tone

Parapluie speaks the way it photographs: warm, unhurried, and sure of itself without ever raising its voice.

Principles
01
Warm, not sentimental
We feel deeply and say it plainly. Real affection reads as calm, not gushing.
02
Refined, not stiff
Elegant language that still sounds like a person you would want in the room.
03
Certain, not boastful
We know our craft. We show it through the work, not through loud claims.
04
Poetic, in small doses
One quiet line can carry a page. We use it sparingly so it keeps its weight.

The Parapluie look
  • Warm, low contrast tone with true skin.
  • Muted, timeless wardrobe in cream, noir, and earth.

  • Film grain and gentle finishing over heavy retouching.

Steer Clear

Off the mood
  • Cold blue tones and hard clinical light.
  • Oversaturated color or trendy heavy filters.
  • Busy, cluttered sets that pull the eye.
